WHAT IS BODY CAVITATION?
Ultrasonic cavitation or ultrasound cavitation is a cosmetic procedure that’s used to break apart fat deposits in your body. Fat cavitation uses ultrasound waves and radio frequency energy to selectively break down fat cells and cellulite without affecting neighboring organs and cells. Immediately after treatment your body will clear away the disrupted fat cells mainly through the liver. The procedure is comfortable and painless, has no side effects and requires no anesthesia or sedation.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Ultrasound waves are sent deep into the layers of your skin causing a disruptive vibration. Fat cells then break apart from each other and are dislodged from your dermal layers. After a few days the fat cells are absorbed by your lymphatic system and drained as waste from your body.
What is ultrasonic cavitation?
Ultrasonic cavitation is a simple procedure that relies on sound waves to flush fat from the body instead of intensive surgery.
How does ultrasonic cavitation work?
During an ultrasonic cavitation procedure, non invasive machines target specific body areas with low-frequency sound waves (they’re what put the “ultrasonic” in “ultrasonic cavitation”) and, in some cases, light suction. This process heats and vibrates the layer of fat cells below the skin’s surface. The pressure eventually causes the fat cells to liquefy and release their contents into the bloodstream. Proponents of the procedure believe that the body is then able to process these fatty acids through its proverbial waste-disposal plant: the lymphatic system.
Does ultrasonic cavitation work?
Yes, but results may vary! Depending on your individual health history and body type, you may slim down more or less dramatically or have longer- or shorter-lasting results than others.
COOLSCULPTING vs ULTRASONIC FAT CAVITATION
By now you’ve probably heard of CoolSculpting, which is one of many treatments on the market available for fat removal. There are radio, TV, and Internet ads for it everywhere. Many medspas and cosmetic/plastic surgery clinics offer it as well. However, one alternative treatment is quickly gaining popularity as a more effective, safe, and affordable alternative to CoolSculpting. That procedure is called Ultrasonic Fat Cavitation.
How Does CoolSculpting Remove Fat?
CoolSculpting removes fat by “freezing” fat cells, which effectively makes them collapse thus killing them. After these fat cells die, your body’s other cell systems kick in to remove the dead fat cells. CoolSculpting is FDA-approved to work on only certain areas of the body: chin/jawline areas, thighs, abdomen, flanks, bra fat, back fat, underneath the buttocks, and upper arms.
How Does Ultrasonic Fat Cavitation Remove Fat?
Ultrasonic Fat Cavitation uses ultrasonic (high-frequency sound waves) to essentially liquefy fat cells. Your body’s lymphatic system then kicks into gear to remove these melted, dead fat cells. The handpiece used also plays a role in shaping your target areas, “chiseling” and breaking down tissue to give you a slimmer appearance.
It is best if performed with Laser Lipo and/or Radio Frequency Skin Tightening for optimal results.
